BOSTON, July 19 (UPI) -- A Boston news team cut to their traffic camera during a broadcast and were confronted with a disturbing sight -- a spider on the camera.

Olessa Stepanova, a reporter for WCVB-TV in Boston, introduced the traffic camera Friday morning and was instantly taken aback by the seemingly giant spider -- actually just a normal-sized spider on the camera lens.

"I'm so sorry, that is horrifying!" Stepanova said.

The reporter reluctantly stepped in front of the screen displaying the traffic camera footage, rushing past the spider to the safety of the other side of the picture.

"Let's just go to the maps," Stepanova said. "Ugh! So gross."
