EDMONTON, Alberta, April 26 (UPI) -- A grizzly bear was looking to celebrate the end of the ski season at a local Canadian mountain before being shooed away.

Tourism Jasper shared a photo of the bear to Twitter as it attempted to join in on the festivities at Marmot Basin in Alberta.

Onlookers can be seen observing the bear before authorities were called to safely send the curious animal away.

According to the CBC park staff set up barriers to keep skiers away from the bear until Parks Canada was able to scare the bear away.

Despite the commotion, hill administrator Carissa Pampling said the bear's presence was not viewed as a negative.

"It was a nice end to the season," Pampling said.
