ATLANTA, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- A pair of diving enthusiasts strapped on air tanks over their wedding garb so they could exchange vows among the fishes at the Georgia Aquarium.

Justin and Crystal Reynolds became the first couple to hold their wedding underwater at the Georgia Aquarium Sunday when they put air tanks on over their tuxedo and wedding gown and plunged into the 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager tank.

The couple exchanged vows amid sea creatures including whale sharks and manta rays.

"We never thought we would get married in an aquarium, but it mixes our love for diving and for one another, it's something we love doing together," Crystal Reynolds said.

The couple shared their first dance underwater before surfacing to attend their reception in the aquarium's Ocean Ballroom.
