Jorge Tirado posted a video to Vimeo showing the 9-month-old facing the waves first with apprehension, and later with what appears to be enthusiastic approval. Advertisement "I encourage you to safely bring your kids to the ocean, after all the ocean is the place where it all began. By far, this is the best sport for your spiritual, mental and physical health," Tirado wrote in the video's description. Surfing babies may be uncommon, but they are not unheard of -- pro surfer John John Florence, 22, famously said he was only 6 months old when his mother first sat him on the nose of her surfboard and paddled into the waves.
