The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Eric Willard, 23, attempted to break into a Publix supermarket in Ormond Beach after he and his mother were ejected from a local bar for arguing loudly, WFTV, Orlando, Fla., reported Wednesday. Advertisement Willard, who was earlier given a trespass warning when he tried to return to the bar where he was kicked out, was unable to force his way into the Publix store, so he climbed onto the roof of the neighboring Bealls Outlet, the sheriff's office said Tuesday. Deputies said Willard attempted to enter the building through an air conditioning conduit and ended up falling through the ceiling of the store. Willard exited the store without taking anything, the sheriff's office said. The deputy who issued Willard the trespass warning at the bar recognized his image in surveillance videos taken by cameras at the Publix and Bealls Outlet and the suspect was soon arrested, officials said.
