BAY CITY, Mich., Sept. 7 (UPI) -- A Michigan woman said a Facebook post and an honest NASCAR crew member helped reunite her with the wedding ring she lost at the Michigan International Speedway.

Andrea Wieland of Bay City said she lost the ring during a garage tour before the Aug. 21 Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR race and posted to the speedway's Facebook page that evening asking people to be on the lookout for a wedding ring with 13 diamonds in it, including a big center diamond, The Detroit News reported Wednesday.

A MIS employee brought the post to the attention of the man who found the ring, a crew member for Red Bull Racing's Brian Vickers who asked to remain anonymous.

Wieland said the ring arrived in the mail Friday.

"I was so excited! I thanked him so much for finding it and sending it back to me," Wieland said. "It tells you a lot about everyone involved in the sport of NASCAR. Whether you are a fan, NASCAR team crew member or MIS staffer, everyone just cares about one another like a big family. I don't think the same thing would have happened at another major sporting event. That's what separates MIS and NASCAR racing from the rest!"
