'Golden Bachelorette' to premiere on ABC this summer

Feb. 11 (UPI) -- New dating competition show, The Golden Bachelorette, is set to premiere on ABC this summer.

"Additional details surrounding the series, including cast details, will be announced at a later date," the network said in a press release on Saturday.

Gerry Turner, 72, and Theresa Nist, 70, married in January after meeting and falling in love on The Golden Bachelor.

The show was a spinoff of The Bachelor dating reality series featuring a senior Bachelor and contestants.

The Golden Bachelorette is intended to help a similarly aged woman find love.
