'Sex and the City' sequel series to debut on HBO Max in December

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- HBO Max said Tuesday its Sex and the City sequel series, And Just Like That, will premiere in December.

The comedy is about friends navigating love and careers in their 50s. It is currently filming in New York.

Returning for the new show are Sex and the City veterans Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg and Evan Handler.

Willie Garson was filming the show when he lost his battle with cancer last month. He was 57.

And Just Like That will also co-star Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman.
