Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera join 'Flight Attendant' ensemble

Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cheryl Hines, Mae Martin and Jessie Ennis have joined the Season 2 ensemble of the dramedy-thriller, The Flight Attendant.

HBO Max announced the casting news Friday.

The stars will act alongside returning cast members Kaley Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, T.R. Knight, Yasha Jackson, Audrey Grace Marshall and Rosie Perez.

"Season 2 of The Flight Attendant finds Cassie Bowden (Cuoco) living her best sober life in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time," a synopsis said. "But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue."

Production on the new episodes is underway and will take place in Los Angeles, Berlin and Reykjavik, Iceland.
