Sept. 10 (UPI) -- John Cena battled Jimmy Fallon in a game of Facebreakers on The Tonight Show.

The contest on Thursday involved Cena and Fallon throwing footballs at a set of glass panels that featured their faces painted on them. The first person to break all of their opponent's faces would be declared the winner.

Fallon was the first one to break glass and kept up with the WWE superstar despite Cena's superior football throwing skills.

"Dude, what is going on? This is amazing. I should try out for the NFL. This is the best I've ever done in my life," Fallon said, as he continued to hit his targets and keep the game competitive.

Cena offered to end the game in a tie after only two panels remained, but the late night host refused. The pair eventually ran out of footballs and tried throwing nearby buckets at the panels, but still missed.

Cena then grabbed a spare football and won the game.

The 16-time world champion also sat down with Fallon to discuss his return to professional wrestling at WWE's SummerSlam event in August.

"There is no better feeling than being in front of a live audience. There really isn't," Cena said about being able to wrestle in front of fans again.

Cena stars in Hulu comedy film Vacation Friends and in DC Comics action film The Suicide Squad.
