Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Some of country music's biggest stars including Blake Shelton, Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton took part in a special edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live's Mean Tweets segment Wednesday in honor of the CMA Awards.

"I want to throw Blake Shelton off a highway over pass by his legs and watch him get obliterated by a Peterbuilt pulling a big stupid house," one fan wrote to Shelton.

"Little Big Town sounds like they threw a bunch of cats in a bag and beat them around with a tennis racquet," Little Big Town read aloud with member Kimberly Schlapman giving a shocked face after the band won the CMA Award for Vocal Group of the Year.

Stapleton, who won the CMA Award for Male Vocalist of the Year, laughed as he read his mean tweet which stated, "Chris Stapleton proves that ugly people can still win awards."

Other country stars and bands including Zac Brown Band, Cassadee Pope, Luke Combs, Randy Houser, Old Dominion, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Dan + Shay, Jana Kramer, Chris Young, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen and Justin Moore were also featured.
