Emmy Rossum robbed of $150K of jewelry in burglary

March 29 (UPI) -- Emmy Rossum was recently robbed of $150,000 of jewelry in a reported burglary.

The 30-year-old actress thanked police Tuesday on Twitter after her home was burglarized just weeks after Kendall Jenner and Jaime Pressly were also robbed in the Los Angeles area.

"Thank you to the LAPD. I fully support the police efforts and dedication," she wrote.

TMZ reported Rossum's house in West Los Angeles was burglarized last week while she was in New York. A housekeeper arrived Friday to find the power cut, a glass pane on the back door broken, and the star's safes open and empty.

Sources confirmed to E! News that property was stolen from two different safes, but denied reports Rossum had left the combinations in the open.

"The combination was not visible or readily accessible," an insider said. "Whoever did this had to really search to find it."

LAPD spokesman Tony Im told the Los Angeles Times the burglars made off with $150,000 in valuables, which TMZ described as "antique jewelry."

Jenner was reportedly robbed of $200,000 of jewelry March 16, while Pressly confirmed last week that her house was burglarized March 17. NBA star Nick Young and singer Alanis Morissette have also been robbed in 2017.
