Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Grey's Anatomy may be losing another series regular. Jerrika Hinton, who plays Stephanie Edwards on the ABC series, will depart the popular medical drama after Season 13, according to TV Line.
Hinton was reportedly poised to exit the show in 2016 after being cast in the since-abandoned comedy Toast. Her renewed plans to leave follow her casting this month in a new HBO series.
Deadline reported this month that Hinton will star with Holly Hunter, Sosie Bacon, Daniel Zovatto and Raymond Lee in a new drama from Alan Ball (Six Feet Under). The show is described as "a tragicomic meditation on the complicated forces at work on us all in America today."
Hinton, Zovatto and Lee will play the adopted children of a socially conscious professor and his wife (Hunter), who also share a biological daughter (Bacon). The series follows the family as one of the children "begins to see things others cannot."
Grey's Anatomy presently stars Hinton, Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers and Chandra Wilson. Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh, Patrick Dempsey and Sara Ramirez are among the stars who have left the series during its 13-season run.
Hinton has also appeared on Lie to Me, Bones and Scandal. ABC declined to comment on the actress' rumored departure.
