Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel returning to 'America's Got Talent' for Season 12

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel -- as well as host Nick Cannon -- are returning to America's Got Talent for Season 12, NBC confirmed.

Cowell, who created the Got Talent format in the United Kingdom, will be back for his second season. This will be the fifth season for Mel B and Klum, eighth for Mandel and ninth for Cannon.

"With the addition of Simon, the chemistry between our judges has grown even stronger and it's easy to see how much enthusiasm they bring to the show night after night," Paul Telegdy, NBC Entertainment's president of alternative and reality programming, said in a statement Tuesday. "Nick adds a boundless energy as host that ties everything together. We're thrilled to have such a strong team returning for Season 12."

The show is currently in its 11th season.
