'Doctor Who' to get a new companion Saturday

LONDON, April 21 (UPI) -- BBC America has announced that the titular time-traveler on Doctor Who will get a new companion Saturday.

No other details regarding who that might be were included in the channel's Facebook post Thursday.

The message said simply: "Doctor Who ALERT: ‪#‎NewCompanion‬ to be revealed this Saturday, April 23!"

Jenna Coleman ended her three-season run as sidekick Clara Oswald in November.

The beloved character died trying to save someone else's life on the popular science-fiction series, which stars Peter Capaldi.
