LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Actress Ellen Page will lead the travel series, Gaycation, alongside best friend Ian Daniel set to premiere in March.

The newly released trailer for the docuseries features Page and Daniel traveling the world to collect stories of the LGBTQ experience to form a more complex global perspective. Along the way, they collect human stories from gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender citizens, some living in less inclusive places than others.

The two-minute clip shows the duo visiting Brazil, Japan and Jamaica, as well as Page confronting GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz.

"Being gay is not a choice," Page says to the camera during the promo. "The amount of people that struggle so much because of the shame they feel or the fear...why would someone make that choice? Why would someone make that choice?"

Gaycation will air on Vice's new television network, Viceland, on March 2, days after the network's full time debut on Feb. 29.
