LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Judy Greer series Married has been canceled after two seasons.

FX cut the comedy after its latest season ranked as the network's lowest-rated show so far in 2015. The series debuted to 1.12 million viewers in July 2014, but audiences dropped to less than 300,000 for the season 2 finale this month.

Married starred Greer and Nat Faxon as longtime married couple Lina and Russ Bowman, and followed the pair in their daily lives. Co-star Jenny Slate, who played Jess, had reduced her role this season to pursue her own FX comedy pilot.

"There will be no season three of @Married FX," series creator and executive producer Andrew Gurland confirmed Monday on Twitter. "Thank you @FXNetworks for the opportunity and thank you to all the fans. It's been a blast."

Greer is known for playing Kitty Sanchez on Arrested Development, and voices Cheryl Tunt on FX animated comedy Archer. She is slated for Geezer with Billie Joe Armstrong, All We Had with Katie Holmes and War for the Planet of the Apes with Andy Serkis.
