NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- Taraji P. Henson appeared as her audacious Empire character Cookie Lyon in a Sesame Street sendup on this weekend's edition of Saturday Night Live.

The hilarious mock promo for an upcoming episode of Sesame Street appeared to have been shot on the set of the children's program and featured beloved Muppets like Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Bert and Ernie, and The Count.

"This week on Sesame Street, The Count is making cupcakes, Elmo's got a new backpack and Cookie is being a real monster," an announcer says. The camera then pans to Cookie Monster, who wonders, "Who me?"

Henson, who is in character as the no-nonsense music producer Cookie, then arrives wearing a Muppet-like, purple stole and tells the furry blue creature, "No, me."

She is later seen arguing with various Sesame Street citizens, discouraging them from sharing and generally wreaking havoc. She even steals a chocolate-chip treat from Cookie Monster.

The sketch ends with the cast singing the Sesame Street theme song.

"You all are freaks. That's good, I can market that," Henson's Cookie says.
