NASHVILLE, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Derek Hough has joined the cast of Nashville.

The 29-year-old professional dancer will appear in a recurring role on season three of the ABC series. Hough will portray Noah West, "a beguiling and disarming" movie star, who is cast in a biopic about a famous country singer. The character and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) will likely cross paths, as season three opens with a pregnant Barnes heading to Hollywood.
