NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Jenny McCarthy's new job at "The View" in New York may be in jeopardy because audience members don't like her, RadarOnline.com reported Tuesday.

McCarthy joined Barbara Walters, Whoopi Godlberg and Sherri Shepherd on the daytime chat show panel last month, following the departure of longtime co-hosts Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

"ABC has begun doing deep research on Jenny's work on the show and the initial findings are that viewers want to tune out the second she opens her mouth!" a production source told Radar. "The data has revealed that she is far more off-putting than Elisabeth."

Walters isn't looking for a replacement for Jenny yet, the insider added, however, the show's moderator and executive producer is "obsessed with ratings and the longevity of the show, so Jenny needs to turn it around or she will be gone."
