NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is to be a guest on "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York Monday, CBS announced.

"President Clinton will preside over the ninth annual meeting of his Clinton Global Initiative, which will be held in New York City from Sept. 24-26," a news release said. "The featured theme of this year's Clinton Global Initiative is 'Mobilizing for Impact,' focusing on involving the right people and resources needed to drive effective action on global challenges."

This will mark Clinton's ninth visit to "Late Show." He last appeared on the broadcast Oct. 12, 2011.
