Comedian Seth Meyers engaged to lawyer Alexi Ashe

NEW YORK, July 5 (UPI) -- Seth Meyers' publicist told People.com Friday the U.S. comedian and writer is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, lawyer Alexi Ashe.

No other details regarding the proposal were immediately reported.

Meyers is a former "Saturday Night Live" cast member and head writer. He is to take over for Jimmy Fallon as the host of TV's "Late Night" next year when Fallon replaces Jay Leno as the emcee of "The Tonight Show."
