Jessica Simpson gives birth to a son named Ace

LOS ANGELES, July 1 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson's publicist has confirmed to People.com the U.S. singer and television personality gave birth to a son named Ace Knute Johnson.

Simpson, 32, is engaged to professional football player Eric Johnson. They are also the parents of a 1-year-old daughter named Maxwell Drew.

People.com said Maxwell's little brother was born Sunday and his middle name was chosen in honor of Johnson's Swedish grandfather.
