LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- NBC has ordered a pilot from U.S. writer-producer J.J. Abrams starring former "Lost" co-stars Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn, New York Magazine said.

Emerson played Ben Linus and O'Quinn played John Locke, central characters on the popular supernatural drama series "Lost," which wrapped its sixth and final season last May.

New York Magazine reported the actors will play ex-black-ops agents in the NBC pilot for which Abrams and Bryan Burk will serve as executive producers.

Emerson told The Hollywood Reporter he and O'Quinn pitched ideas this year for a new television series.

"It's real. Real people and real writers are batting it around," the actor said last month.
