His new show is a TV Land Prime original production and is the network's second venture into scripted comedy series along with "Hot in Cleveland," which premieres June 16.

"It is so exciting for us to announce TV Land's second original sitcom," the network's Larry W. Jones said in a statement Tuesday. "We are thrilled to work with this very talented and funny cast along with a great team of writers and producers. TV Land is committed to bringing funny yet meaningful shows to our audience and 'Retired at 35' is the perfect example of that strategy."

The show features Johnathan McClain as a successful young businessman who decides to leave the rat race of New York behind and move into his parents' Florida retirement home to reconnect with them, re-evaluate his life and live the dream of retirement that so many are working toward, the network said in synopsis of the series. Segal and Jessica Walter play the parents.
