Kanye West premieres new album 'ye' with last minute cover art

June 1 (UPI) -- Kanye West debuted his eighth studio album titled ye Thursday during a special livestreamed event that took place at the Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

The listening party was streamed exclusively for fans to view through the WAV media app that West promoted on his Twitter.

West was accompanied by his wife Kim Kardashian at the event which also featured celebrity guests such as Chris Rock, Jonah Hill, Nas, Kid Cudi, 2 Chains, Lil Yachty and more, Rolling Stone reported.

The album, at seven tracks long, is produced entirely by West and features guest appearances from Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, Young Thug, Charlie Wilson and Nicki Minaj.

West is heard on ye addressing a number of topics including his mental health, drug addiction, NBA star Tristan Thompson cheating on his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashain, Stormy Daniels, his mother-in-law Kris Jenner's boyfriend Corey Gamble, Russell Simmons, and his controversial comments about slavery being a choice, among others, People magazine reported.

Kardashian announced on Twitter that the cover art for the project was decided on as she traveled with West to the listening party. The cover features a mountain view with the words "I hate being Bi-Polar its awesome."

"Kanye shot the album cover on his iPhone on the way to the album listening party," she said.

Ye is available on music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Tidal.
