LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork have announced plans for a Monkees 50th anniversary concert tour to start in May in Fort Myers, Fla.

Known for its songs "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "Last Train to Clarksville," "Daydream Believer" and "I'm a Believer," the band starred in the sitcom The Monkees 1966-68.

The group broke up in 1971, but reunited numerous times over the years for shows and recordings with front-man Davy Jones, who died in 2012 at the age of 66.
