"Due to illness and under doctor's orders, Taylor Swift has been forced to postpone tonight's performance, and the show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11," Swift's Web site reported Saturday. "Taylor is sorry to have to disappoint her fans in Louisville but is looking forward to coming back this fall."

Swift apologized to her fans on the social networking site Twitter.

"Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct. 11," Swift tweeted. "This is my first time having to do this. I'm so, so sorry."

Tickets to Saturday's concert will be honored at the October show, officials said. Swift's next concert is scheduled for July 8 in Charlotte, N.C.
