LOS ANGELES, April 22 (UPI) -- Tim Urban was eliminated from "American Idol" Wednesday in Los Angeles during the extended "Idol Gives Back" edition of the singing competition series.

The program featured performances by professional artists such as Mary J. Blige and Elton John and appearances by Ben Affleck and Morgan Freeman, who encouraged viewers to donate money to those in need.

Urban was voted off the show based on his performance Tuesday of the song "Better Days." Because Wednesday's show ran for more than two hours, Urban didn't get the chance to say any final words after he was booted, E! News said.

Still in the running are Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche and Siobhan Magnus.
