Christopher Nolan wins Directors Guild Award for 'Oppenheimer'

Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Christopher Nolan won the Directors Guild Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Theatrical Feature Film for Oppenheimer at a ceremony in Beverly Hills Saturday.

Celine Song took home the prize for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for a First-Time Theatrical Film for Past Lives and Mstyslav Chernov scored the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary trophy for 20 Days in Mariupol.

Peter Hoar earned the honor for Outstanding Directorial Achievement of a Drama Series for The Last of Us, while Christopher Storer accepted the accolade for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for a Comedy Series for The Bear.

Filmmaker Judd Apatow hosted the gala at the Beverly Hilton.

Presenters included Matt Bomer, Rose Byrne, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Zooey Deschanel, David Duchovny, Jay Ellis, Carla Gallo, Ilana Glazer, Ryan Gosling, Taylor Hackford, Jonah Hill, Patty Jenkins, Rashida Jones, Daniel Kwan, Eva Longoria, Cillian Murphy, Nasim Pedrad, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel Sennott, Daniel Scheinert, Emma Stone, Glenn Weiss, and Jeffrey Wright.
