'Beekeeper' tops North American box office with $7.4M

Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Jason Statham's action movie, The Beekeeper, is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $7.4 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Mean Girls with $7.3 million, followed by Wonka at No. 3 with $5.9 million, Migration at No. 4 with $5.2 million and Anyone But You at No. 5 with $4.8 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Poor Things at No. 6 with $3 million, American Fiction at No. 7 with $2.9 million, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom at No. 8 with $2.8 million, Godzilla Minus One at No. 9 with $2.6 million and The Boys in the Boat at No. 10 with $2.2 million.
