LOS ANGELES, May 20 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Rodriguez is in talks to join Fox's upcoming X-Men swan song for Hugh Jackman, Wolverine 3.

According to The Wrap, the actress is in negotiations to play a small but pivotal role in the comic-book actioner directed by James Mangold who helmed the character's last solo outing, The Wolverine.

The film is said to be Jackman's last turn as the iconic clawed mutant after sticking with the character since 2000's X-Men.

Recently, Patrick Stewart confirmed that he would be returning to his role as X-Men head Charles Xavier in the film. Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal round out the rest of the cast.

Wolverine 3 is expected to arrive in theaters March 3, 2017.

Rodriguez is known for portraying Aleida Diaz on Netflix's hit prison drama Orange is the New Black and most recently as Liza Ortiz on AMC's Walking Dead spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead.
