LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Star Wars: The Force Awakens released a TV spot trailer starring Daisy Ridley on Sunday.

The 23-year-old English actress again takes center stage as the scavenger Rey, with Lupita Nyong'o narrating as the pirate Maz Kanata.

The preview teases Rey's possible connection to Han Solo (Harrison Ford), whom some fans believe to be her father. The trailer cuts from Rey to Han as Maz says, "I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes."

Ridley starred in an international trailer released last week, and recently sat down with Carrie Fisher, who will reprise Princess Leia in the new movie, for an Interview magazine feature.

"You should fight for your outfit," Fisher, who famously wore a metal bikini in Return of the Jedi, advised the younger actress. "Don't be a slave like I was ... You keep fighting against that slave outfit."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by Star Trek reboot helmer J.J. Abrams, and opens in theaters Dec. 18. John Boyega co-stars as the stormtrooper Finn, with Adam Driver as the villain Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as the X-wing pilot Poe Dameron.
