WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Lucasfilm has revealed the official posters for five core characters from the upcoming Star Wars film as its December release date nears.

The likenesses of Rey, Leia, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and Finn were uploaded to the franchise's official site Nov. 4, prompting stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Carrie Fisher to share their own posters on social media.

"As promised! Sneaky gift! The official FINN poster for Star Wars!" Boyega tweeted Wednesday, adding the hashtag "#HeHasSomethingToFightFor."

Ridley, who plays Rey, shared her poster on Instagram, writing "It is my very great honour to reveal this INSANELY EXCITING poster for The Force Awakens!!!!! IT'S REY!!! Looking all freckly from the Jakku sun and as if there's an adventure to be had!!!"

Actress Carrie Fisher toned down her Twitter post, simply writing "Oh Luke, don't ask for the moon, we have the force," alongside the stoic image of Leia.

Harrison Ford reprises his Hans Solo character in the newest poster image, holding his blaster over his right eye. Masked villain Kylo Ren is seen holding his crackling saber in a similar position. All posters, in fact, share a single detail being each of the character's right eyes are covered by their weapons save Fisher's, whose eye is seen dimly through a data screen.
