LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Nina Dobrev will join Asa Butterfield and Maisie Williams in the upcoming independent film Arrivals.

According to Deadline, the former Vampire Diaries actress will play a flight attendant named Izzy in the coming-of-age flick helmed by director Peter Hutchings. Izzy is the apparent love interest of Butterfield's character, Calvin, who is an American college dropout and baggage handler in Cape Town.

Dobrev, 26, also appears on the big screen in the SXSW flick The Final Girls, which will open Oct. 9, and Let's Be Cops. The actress was also featured in The Perks of Being a Wallflower in 2012 and Chloe in 2009.

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will play British teen Skye, who drags the hypochondria-prone Calvin to help complete her outlandish bucket list.

Arrivals, produced by BSDF Pictures and Kalahari Films & Media and written by Fergal Rock, will begin shooting in South Africa this winter.
