'Fault in Our Stars,' Shailene Woodley, Dylan O'Brien, Zac Efron win big at the MTV Movie Awards

LOS ANGELES, April 13 (UPI) -- The romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars was named 2014's Movie of the Year and its star Shailene Woodley took home the Golden Popcorn prize for Best Female Performance at the MTV Movie Awards ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday.

Woodley shared the Best Kiss honor with her co-star Ansel Elgort. She also picked up the Trailblazer Award for her extraordinary career, which includes her performance in the Divergent franchise and a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Descendants.

The Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien earned the accolades for Breakthrough Performance and Best Hero, and shared the Best Fight Scene distinction with his co-star Will Poulter.

Zac Efron won the prize for Best Shirtless Performance for Neighbors, and he and his co-star Dave Franco were declared Best Duo. Bradley Cooper scored the award for Best Male Performance for his work in American Sniper and Jennifer Lopez won the Best Scared as S**t honor for The Boy Next Door.

Scarlett Johannson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo presented their Avengers: Age of Ultron co-star Robert Downey Jr. with the Generation Award.

Meryl Streep was declared Best Villain for her wicked turn in Into the Woods and Channing Tatum won the prize for Best Comedic Performance for 22 Jump Street. The awards show was hosted by comedienne Amy Schumer and featured performances by Fall Out Boy, Fetty Wap, Vin Diesel and Charli XCX.
