LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Natalie Dormer enjoyed portraying Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

The 32-year-old actress will debut as the character in Part 1, and reprise the role for Part 2 in 2015. Dormer is known for starring as Margaery Tyrell on HBO series Game of Thrones, and told fans in a Reddit AMA she liked how active playing Cressida was in comparison.

"I loved how physical the role was for Cressida, and that she's all about her job," she shared. "It was fun to play someone who works the other side of the camera. Like Cressida's out there in the field, whereas everything Margaery does is sitting around behind closed doors."

Cressida is a film director who follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) to document her rebellion against the Capitol, while Margaery is the twice-widowed wife to kings. Despite the characters being very different, Dormer said the two women do share similarities.

"They're both very PR-savvy," she related. "That's what they have in common, they both know how to manipulate hearts and minds. So there's a trend, a theme there between the two of them."

Dormer came to fame as Anne Boleyn on Showtimes series The Tudors, and also appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, Rush and The Counselor. She recently portrayed Jamie Moriarty on CBS drama Elementary, and will return for season five of Game of Thrones in 2015.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 opens in theaters Nov. 21.
