Ansel Elgort shares photo of Shailene Woodley's disguise for 'The Fault In Our Stars' showing

NEW YORK, June 9 (UPI) -- Shailene Woodley disguised her pixy cut haircut in a curly brunette wig as she attempted to go incognito to a showing of her new film The Fault In Our Stars.

Woodley's co-star in the film Ansel Elgort shared a photo of her costume on Instagram Sunday under the caption: "Shai's amazing disguise to go see #tfios last night without causing a scene!"

The day before, the 20-year-old actor also tweeted that "Shai is bringing her own popcorn to #tfios hahahaha. So bootleg."

TFIOS, the film adaptation of author John Green's best selling novel of the same name, opened in theaters Friday to great reviews and even better earnings. According to Box Office Mojo the film topped the weekend earnings with $48,200,000 beating out Tom Cruise's action flick The Edge of Tomorrow, which took in the still-impressive sum of $29,105,000 in its opening weekend.

While Elgort has deleted the photo of Woodley's disguise from his Instagram account he has continued to Tweet about the amazing weekend he had and has apologized for making fans cry.
