LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- Marvel has offered U.S. actor Chris Evans the titular role in its forthcoming "Captain America" movie, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

The comic-book adaptation is to be directed by Joe Johnston. It reportedly will start shooting this summer in England.
