Owen Wilson cast in Woody Allen film

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Owen Wilson is set to star in the as-yet-unnamed movie Woody Allen intends to shoot this summer.

Although the film's plot and characters are being held tightly under wraps, France's first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, recently revealed she has been cast in it as well, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Wilson most recently lent his voice to a character in Wes Anderson's animated film "Fantastic Mr. Fox." His other big-screen credits include "Armageddon," "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Wedding Crashers," "Cars" and "Night at the Museum."

Allen's next film, "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger," stars Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts, Gemma Jones, Freida Pinto and Lucy Punch. It is slated for release in September.
