Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Spamalot, a stage musical based on the 1975 classic comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is returning to Broadway.
Set in medieval times, the show is about King Arthur and his knights.

It features a book and lyrics by Monty Python troupe member Eric Idle and music by Idle and John Du Prez.
"I'm thrilled to see Spamalot back on Broadway," Idle said in a statement Wednesday.
"More than ever, it seems we need a good laugh and it's inspiring to see audiences still embracing this, the most happy of shows I have ever worked on. So put the news cycle on rinse cycle and take a couple of hours to relax with the Lady of the Lake, King Arthur and the Knights Who Say Ni because we're not dead yet!"
Josh Rhodes is directing the production, which is expected to begin preview performances on Oct. 31. Opening night at the St. James Theatre is set for Nov. 16.
No casting for the revival has been announced.
The original production, which opened in 2005 and won the Tony Award for Best New Musical, starred Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, David Hyde Pierce, Christian Borle, Christopher Sieber and Sara Ramirez.
