Nicki Minaj celebrates son's 1st birthday: 'My world, my everything'

Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Nicki Minaj is celebrating her son's first birthday.

The 38-year-old rapper marked the occasion with a series of posts Tuesday on Instagram. Minaj's son officially turned one year old last week.

Minaj shared photos from her son's Kung Fu Panda-themed birthday party. One of the pictures shows Minaj and Petty holding their son in front of decorations, including a banner reading "Papa Bear's First Birthday."

"On Sept. 30th you turned 1. Mama is so proud of you, PapaBear. You're the best boy in the whole wide world. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but God bless you, son. Mommy & Daddy will never stop loving you," Minaj captioned the post.

The party featured face painting, balloon and headband-making, a bouncy house and a photo booth, Minaj said in another post.

"It was so much fun. To everyone who sent a gift, he hasn't opened gifts yet but thank you, love you. Happy 1st bday. My world, my everything," she wrote.

Singer and actress Brandy, television personality Lala Anthony and Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks

"Thank you for inviting us. Wish we could have been there. Happy Birthday Papa Bear," Brandy wrote.

"Happy birthday Papa bear!!!!!!" Anthony added. "Kiyan is waiting to play basketball with you!!"

"Happy Birthday Papa Bear happy born day to the Queen that carried you," Parks said.

Minaj gave birth to her son in September 2020. Minaj and Petty had a double date with singer Rihanna and her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, last month where Rihanna bonded with Minaj's son.
