May 25 (UPI) -- Elliot Page celebrated "trans joy" in a new photo following his coming out as transgender.
The 34-year-old actor posted a photo Monday on Instagram of himself wearing his first swim trunks.
The picture shows Page smiling and posing shirtless on the steps of a pool.
"Trans bb's first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful," he captioned the post.
Page's Umbrella Academy co-stars Emmy Raver-Lampman and Justin H. Min celebrated with Page in the comments.
"OMG! Yes! and LOOK AT THAT SMILE!!!" Raver-Lampman wrote.
"okkk summer ready," Min said.
Page came out as a transgender man in December.
"I can't begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self," he said at the time. "I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society."
Page said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in April that his transition has given him a "newfound energy." He confirmed he had top surgery and said his coming out and surgery have been a "freeing" experience.
Page plays Vanya Hargreeves on the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, which is in production on its third season. Page appeared to share a photo from the show's set earlier this month.
