Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Michael Douglas is giving fans a first glimpse of his newborn granddaughter. The 73-year-old actor introduced Lua Izzy, his son Cameron Douglas' daughter with Viviane Thibes, who was named after his dad, Kirk Douglas.
Douglas shared a peaceful photo of baby Lua on his Facebook account Thursday. He congratulated Cameron, also an actor, and Viviane, a yoga instructor, in the caption.
"Congratulations to my son, Cameron, and lovely Viviane, on the birth of their daughter Lua!" the star wrote.
People reported Lua's middle name pays tribute to Kirk, who was born Issur Danielovitch and later went by Izzy. Cameron had announced the infant's birth in an Instagram post Monday.
"Today I took part in a miracle as my baby girl was introduced to the world through a beautiful Amazon warrior... I'm so proud of you @vivianethibes. #iloveyou," the 39-year-old actor wrote.
Michael shares Cameron with Diandra Luke and is also parent to son Dylan and daughter Carys with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. He attended Kirk's 101st birthday party earlier this month in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"At 101 Dad is a true amazement and a great time was had by all," the star said at the time.
