Dec. 21 (UPI) -- British stars Rita Ora and Liam Payne sent fans into a frenzy by teasing a collaboration for Fifty Shades Freed.

The 27-year-old singer and actress and 24-year-old recording artist appeared to hint Wednesday on Instagram that they will release a duet for the movie's soundtrack.

Ora, who plays Mia Grey in the Fifty Shades films, shared a photo of herself and Payne posing for the camera. She wore a romantic lace dress for the shoot, with Payne in a turtleneck and windowpane suit.

"#FiftyShadesFreed," the actress captioned the picture, which Payne also posted on his account. The posts combined had earned over 1.4 million likes as of Thursday morning.

Fifty Shades Freed is based on the third and final novel in the Fifty Shades book series by E.L. James and follows Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker. Ora told PopSugar in December 2016 that Mia would play a larger role in Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

"She's around a lot," the star shared.

"Just to be a part of it ... I never started this industry as an actress, so to be involved in a movie full-stop is phenomenal," she added.

Payne's former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik previously released the song "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" with Taylor Swift for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. Fifty Shades Freed opens in theaters Feb. 9.
