LONDON, June 10 (UPI) -- Daisy Ridley discussed her endometriosis and recent polycystic ovary disorder diagnosis in a lengthy Facebook post outlining her progress.

The 24-year-old Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress posted a photo of herself in a clay mask Thursday, revealing in the caption that she's "tried everything," to ease her symptoms.

"At 15 I was diagnosed with endometriosis," Ridley began. "One laparoscopy, many consultations and 8 years down the line, pain was back...and my skin was THE WORST. I've tried everything: products, antibiotics, more products more antibiotics) [sic] and all that did was left my body in a bit of a mess."

"Finally found out I have polycycstic [sic] ovaries and that's why it's bad. I can safely say feeling so self conscious has left my confidence in tatters. I hate wearing make up but I currently don't want to leave the house without it on. HOWEVER PROGRESS IS BEING MADE!" she added.

"My point is, to any of you who are suffering with anything, go to a doctor; pay for a specialist; get your hormones tested, get allergy testing; keep on top of how your body is feeling and don't worry about sounding like a hypochondriac," she encouraged her 655,000 Facebook fans. "From your head to the tips of your toes we only have one body, let us all make sure ours our working in tip top condition, and take help if it's needed."

Although Ridley has been facing some health issues, she is still pushing forward as she works on Star Wars: Episode VIII to reprise her role as Rey. In late April, the British actress showed off her wushu moves as she trained with martial arts pro Liang Yang.

The clip showed her wielding a stick as if it was a lightsaber, showing she is brushing up on her combat skills for the new movie.

"Our stunt team are the most incredible group of people, so lucky I get to train with them!" she wrote on social media at the time.
