Gigi Hadid hints Zayn Malik is still her 'boyfriend'

NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- Gigi Hadid is subtly trying to put to rest rumors of a split with Zayn Malik.

The 21-year-old American model appeared to confirm she and the 23-year-old British singer are still together by mentioning her "boyfriend" at the Maybelline New York Beauty Bash.

She would prefer a "night in" to a night out, she told Elle magazine. "Cook. Paint. Play with my dog. Hang out with my boyfriend. Watch movies. Just chill."

Hadid later posted a Snapchat video of herself lip syncing to Malik's song "Pillowtalk" at the event. She was also spotted wearing a "Z" initial necklace the same day.

Hadid and Malik were first linked in November and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met gala in May. News outlets reported their split last week, although sources claimed the pair could easily get back together.

"Like all of these young relationships, it's back and forth constantly," an insider told Us Weekly. "They broke up but have still been talking constantly so it's not totally done. It changes by the minute but they did break up."

"They broke up and got back together almost right away," another source added. "Right now it's back on, but it could be off again in an hour. They are young and keep going back and forth. Things are testy between them."

Hadid is the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and known for her modeling work with Chanel and Balmain. Malik released his debut solo album, Mind of Mine, in March after leaving One Direction in 2015.
