LOS ANGELES, June 1 (UPI) -- Gina Rodriguez recently helped a teenage girl's prom wish come true when she lent her a very special gown. The Jane The Virgin star reached out to a fan earlier this year who tweeted that she'd love to wear one of the actress' Golden Globes gowns.

A brief public Twitter exchange from January showed the beginning of Rodriguez's act of kindness.
"Where do you live? I only own my first globes dress the one from last year...maybe we can make this happen," the television star said in response to teen Jessica Casanova.
Come prom season, Casanova showed off her figure in the hip-hugging black gown in which her new friend Rodriguez won a Golden Globe. As a thank you, Casanova painted an artful portrait of the actress.
"Do you have any room in your house for this?" the teen asked on Twitter. "This is my thank you for everything."
