LOS ANGELES, May 9 (UPI) -- Brie Larson and longtime boyfriend Alex Greenwald are engaged.
The 26-year-old actress' rep confirmed Larson's engagement to the 36-year-old Phantom Planet frontman to multiple news outlets Monday.

Larson and Greenwald have been together several years and got engaged in March during a trip to Tokyo. The actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand while hosting the May 7 episode of Saturday Night Live.
"He's the other half of the equation, " she said of Greenwald to Entertainment Tonight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January. "I mean, it goes beyond anything. He's just my person. He's my best friend."
Larson gave a shoutout to Greenwald in her acceptance speech for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor at the SAG Awards. She also said "I love you" to her beau while accepting Best Actress at the Academy Awards in February.

The Room star hosted SNL for the first time Saturday, performing several sketches, including "Baby Shower." The actress will star in Free Fire with Cillian Murphy, along with Kong: Skull Island with Tom Hiddleston.
