LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is switching up her hair for the summer. The 30-year-old actress changed her look this week by getting long extensions and an ombré after wrapping Season 9 of the CBS sitcom. Cuoco previously sported a lob, or long bob, hairstyle.

"It's very important for me to change my look after wrapping each season :) I love playing Penny, but it's good for me to bring it back to Kaley," Cuoco explained on Instagram.
"Last year I chopped it all off - this year I'm doing the opposite. With the extension master @faye.woods .... Stay tuned! (Can't wait to read all the negative comments lol)," she added.
Cuoco followed up with a side view of her "epic" brunette to platinum color and a black-and-white photo of the final product. "End result! Baby's got her hair back :) Thank you @faye.woods," she wrote.
The Big Bang Theory star's new look follows word of her new relationship. The actress was first linked to 25-year-old equestrian Karl Cook in March and enjoyed an outing to a farmers market with her beau this week.
Cuoco plays Penny on The Big Bang Theory, which airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. The series co-stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, and will air its Season 9 finale on May 12.
